ROMEMAKERS, H.C.E.

The Romemakers HCE is a group of involved citizens in the area. HCE stands for Home and Community Educators, and that is what we do. We work hard to educate others by offering seminars, sponsoring voter forums, and attending classes to bring information back to club members. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 9:30 a.m. at Woodland Church. Anyone can belong to our group, and we welcome new people. If you are interested in joining or for more information, please call 325-6244.

Currently, the Romemakers are sponsoring the AARP Volunteer Tax Assistance in the town of Rome. Every month, we provide the SHARE Select program in Rome. We also are sponsoring the Safe Driver classes held on April 3 & 4. Call to find out more about these programs. On May 11, we will be offering information on how the Community Endowment Fund is organized and how it will benefit the people of Rome. This seminar is open to the public, and will be presented at Woodland Church at 10:30 a.m. with a lunch to follow. Call 325-6244 to reserve a spot for the meeting and lunch. On June 8th, we have the new coordinator of Faith in Action in Adams County, Marcia Kaye, at Woodland Church for a 9:00 breakfast followed by information on Faith in Action.  This is also open to the public, but reservations are required.  We invite you to join us for these and other programs offered through our organization.
