The 8^th Annual Golf to Benefit Cancer Research at Marshfield Clinic held Tues., Aug. 22^nd, welcomed 219 golfers on both the Lakes and the Pines golf courses. We are pleased to note over $44,000 was raised for cancer research. Amazing! Event hosts, Lake Arrowhead & Marshfield Clinic, extend a sincere thank you to our presenting sponsor, Solarus, for their continued support. We also appreciate the support received from additional event sponsors, golfers, volunteers and Arrowhead staff. Thanks are also extended to Reinhart Food Service and Sysco Foods for sponsoring a delicious hors d’oeurve banquet following golf play.      The 17th Annual Lake Arrowhead Craft Show was a big hit; hosted on Sat., Sept. 2^nd. There were a total of 125 craft booths plus displays hosted by the Rome Dive & Rescue Team, Friends of the Library, Rome Connection Committee - Rome History Book promotion and the Rome Volunteer Fire Department. Many thanks to those who assisted the Show Committee. The Craft Show Committee is pleased to announce their 2006 donation recipients will be the Rome Fire Department, Rome Police Department, Rome Dive Team, Lester Public Library Foundation, Rome Community Fund and Nekoosa Girls Basketball Team, Golf to Benefit Cancer Research and the Adams County Food Pantry. In addition, the Craft Show Committee will also sponsor ten children over the Christmas holiday, purchasing gifts. This brings the Committee’s total contributions over $14,679 in community donations. 

    Come and ‘ring in the new year’ on Dec. 31, 2006 with your family and friends at Lake Arrowhead. A delicious dinner buffet is followed by music and dancing. Rumours band will play as we countdown to midnight and welcome 2007. Everyone welcome!

     Plan to join us for SnoBlast "2007". On Feb. 9-10-11.You can look forward to Lawn Mower Races on Saturday, on the pond behind the clubhouse. The Tri-County Children's Dream Foundation, Inc. is host of this event  Purchase SNOBLAST raffle tickets before and during the event. Prizes this year are: 1 - $200, 1 - $100, 4 - $50, and 9 - $25. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 and are available at the Lake Arrowhead Pines Lounge. All your favorite SnoBlast events including the dog sled rides, volleyball tournament, silent auction and more will again be scheduled. Call Lake Arrowhead if you have something to donate for the auction or a door prize. Proceeds from Sno-Blast assist local charities and service organizations. Let’s all chip in and make SnoBlast 2007 the best ever!
